The W4CLJ hamshack is located in Pace, Florida (EM60kq), approximately 25 miles
N.E. of Pensacola in the Florida panhandle.
The equipment is capable of operating on all bands from 1.8 MHz through 2.4 GHz.
The favorite bands are those above 50 MHz where unusual propogation takes
place. On these bands, communication takes place using tropospheric ducting,
aurora, sporadic "E", meteor scatter, EME and
other weak signal modes.
I also find it particularly interesting to monitor VLF and shortwave broadcasts
and the transmissions from commercial and military satellites.
Station equipment for all modes can be viewed on the "Shack Photos"
page.
